Hi Matt, Thanks for going through my proposal! I did not plan to go on with Lucene or any “heavy weight” solution but merely extending the existing capabilities. At least with keeping my current needs in mind it looks just too much. For longer term if multiple filters needs to be added, it might be a good long term solution. As for your questions:
1) I was thinking of using the section of the filter results like: - scope:all group:groupName —> means within the process group, without further filtering (scope all behaves the same way as it would not be provided. It could be considered as “default” if you like) - scope:here group:groupName —> means the group within the current group (including the current group) Is this what you are thinking about? Or you mean the children group as recursive nature? As far as I see however “scope” and “group” means pretty much the same in backend side as the relative nature of the “scope” is resolved by sending the current group from client side. 2) My terminology might be not perfect, but I was thinking on group name filtering here. Actually it sounds like a good idea to involve group id. But regarding to the actual question: your example is similar to one of the use cases I would like to aim. So let’s say I have two parallel group with children of the same name, and I would like to have items for one of them in my search result. What I imagined as solution is to navigate into the one I am interested in and use the scope:here. This narrows the result for the given group. Of course this comes with that you cannot do this from the root group but I am not sure if this is an issue. Regards, Bence > On 2020.
