Hi, My name is Sam Kola currently working as a Data Engineer at Blackline Safety company. I came across your tool when I looked only for open source ETL tools. Currently we are using Matillion on AWS platform to basically fetch the data from Aurora (Mysql) into Redshift. Also we are using matillion to call stored procedures on aurora DB and also create S3 files.
For generating Dimension and Fact tables we use CTE Queries to write data into staging redshift tables and then join the staging data with multiple other dimension tables to populate fact tables. Currently matillion is costing us and we would like to explore ETL tools which offer the same for much lesser price. Please let me know your thoughts about it. If you think Apache Nifi can handle these scenarios we would like to have a small 1 hour demo if possible.
