You cannot go from an upgraded 2.x NiFi instance with the same folders/state files back to NiFi 1.x. We rewrite/upgrade various things in that process including what you're seeing here which is Lucene not being able to go as far back as it was in NiFi 1.x. Across the major version upgrade that this is we've tried very hard to make upgrading as straightforward as possible but supporting downgrading with state preserved is definitely not supported. A couple possible paths: - keep moving forward with the upgrade and focus on identifying which parts need replaced components/settings changes. The validation information is helpful in this regard. - If you still have your flow config from 1.x you could try bringing up a 1.x install but with no state preserved (get rid of flowfile/content/prov/db state repositories). There are changes in things like nifi.properties and such too though and I just think going backwards having already moved forward will be tough unless you started fresh.
