I've submitted a JIRA [1] and a Pull Request [2] to do the switch. I
believe this would be a breaking change for people using custom built
transforms but I think it's better to move to a maintained fork of the
library especially if it'll benefit from improvements in the future.
We'll need to make it clear in the migration guide for the next
release if we move forward with this change.
