Team, After a discussion on the Apache NiFI Slack Community [1], Eric Secules drafted NIP-45 [2] proposing the addition of a Map of attributes to the adjustCounter and recordGauge metrics methods.
As a member of the PMC, I support this addition as it follows similar improvements described in NIP-19 [3] for gauges. Following the revised policy for approval of low-impact changes, I am moving NIP-45 for a lazy consensus vote, with actual changes to follow the standard review-then-commit process.
