+1 to release now but it would have been nice to do https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUTCH-1527 as part of the same release. The main change introduced in this version is the pluggable indexer and having a first working version for ES would be a good illustration of how useful this feature is. Having said that I will probably have no time to work on this in the short term so unless someone's willing to do it, let's release 1.7
