Could this be related to some networking configuration on your laptop (looks like)? Do you use any proxy to connect to the internet? could you try executing the command:
$ curl --head http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/com/google/javascript/closure-compiler/v20130603/closure-compiler-v20130603.jar And check if curl is able to download that file?
