Full-tree Yetus still reports on the order of thousands of trailing-whitespace
and tab findings, ~86 historical Javadoc @author tags, and a couple hundred
markdownlint hits in plugin READMEs and project docs. ASF practice is not to
add @author tags; credit already lives in git history. Whitespace and markdown
debt does not change crawler behavior, but it keeps master red and makes patch
mode painful when someone touches an unclean file.
