Well, the basic use case is that ODE is still a tool on its own and one
should be able to integrate it into custom environments. It should just
play nice without all the other things of ServiceMix.

Otherwise it should not be a top-level Apache project.

To be honest, I never tried running the ODE ServiceMix version directly
inside our GlassFish 3.1.

Does the ODE-ServiceMix version actually run without ServiceMix itself
in a more or less bare OSGi environment?
