Jacopo,

i have tested the patch today and it does solve the problem. However, there is 
a problem in the patch, if 29 results are found for a keywords, 4 pages are 
shown in the dropdown list instead of 3 pages for 29 results. i.e. one extra 
page is shown which actually does not have any search results. This needs to be 
corrected.
