As a newbie it was difficult for me to understand the difference between customizations and OFBIz development, it wasn´t clear to me when to post in user and when in dev ML. I think that you should provide examples of each case and a longer explanation. Think for example that some newbies (like me) thought that editing "ANY" code was develompent and that customization was done from the application at runtime. Later I realized the complexity of OFBiz and that customization was a lot more, and required coding.
I would add to dev ML description, a line like "If you´re not sure to which list to post, do it into User Mailing List" Guido 2007/6/29, Jacques Le Roux <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Yes this was stupid :o) Jacques > Uhu, > > I would be really surprised to know that the commit list is restricted. > In my opinion everyone should subcribe and read the commit logs :-) > I've checked, we have more than 70 subscribers of the commit log list now. > > Jacopo > > Jacques Le Roux wrote: > > Yeah this great, but I think that we should not show the commit list as I think it's only for commiters and you can't subscribe to > > it if you are not one.
