show only the date part of a timestamp using the form 'display' field and

the current form will show the complete timestamp.
using this patch with the form xml statement <display type=date/> only the
datepart will be shown.
please let me know if any objections or comments on this patch.
Otherwise i will put it in svn in a couple of days.
