You're on a deserted island. Which ERP do you take with you? I'd
initially be thinking OFBiz, because I can be passing the time and
learning it while I wait for a rescue plane, but...
I get nothing when I launch if there's no internet connection. Is there
a way to launch in isolation? I'm on the road, minus the internet
usually, but then I got to thinking that some of the more paranoid
customers where I used to work kept their servers offline; the server
and any clients connecting to it were on networks totally separate from
the rest of the computers at their business.
Do I really need to be connecting to the things
$OFBIZ_HOME/runtime/logs/console.log is indicating? I haven't tooled
around a whole bunch, but this morning (after the server was up and
running) it looked like I was able to log in and click a couple links
without the server able to access the internet (as in, I shut my phone's
hot spot off). Are these external calls necessary just to fire the
server up? Is there a way I should have gotten them sitting locally
first? Google Guava appears to be what I'm missing.
