TLDR: Long story short the demo are back
I found the reason why R17 did not restart on the demo server.
Someone added the AccountingAcctRecon label in /AccountingUiLabels.xml and moved few nl labels (no changes) in AccountingEntityLabels.xml without
contributing.
This prevented to update (git pull aborted). For this reason, I guess we were
using an old R17 version there.
Must be a committer with access to the demo VM, not a big deal, just unpleasant
