I think the Login button on the right side off the application navigation bar
is for requesting the Login screen. And if you click on it while you are in
Login screen, you will see again the same screen and it will looks like nothing
happens.
But the login button under the username and password fields is for submitting
the login details.
I don't know how it was designed at the beginning, but now i think it works as
described above...
