NPE when rendering PDF attached to the order confirmation email

I have created an order in ecommerce using DemoCustomer and I got a NPE error
when the system tried to generate and send the email with the confirmation
message.
The problem is caused by the PDF attachment:
component://ecommerce/widget/EmailOrderScreens.xml#OrderConfirmNoticePdf
