Jacques,
I was going to contact Mark James about the possibility to use his icons but
in the contact form he is quite explicit about permission asking e-mail.

Taken from: http://www.famfamfam.com/about/

"If sending me a message regarding icon licencing, please don't expect a
response if you ask 'I'm using your Silk icon set and linking to you from a
footer/credits page, is this OK?' (the answer is yes), if you wish to ask
"Do the Flag/Mini icons sets need attribution or a link" (the answer is no –
both sets are public domain), or if you wish to ask "Do the icons come in
larger sizes?" (Unfortunately not, wysiwyg)."

It seems definitively that we can use them!

I have found this site http://www.famfamfam.com/ that contains nice
icon
sets offered under Creative Commons license.

In particular the SILK icon set (over 700 icons) seems quite useful.

It can be seen here:
http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/previews/index_abc.png
and downloaded here:
http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/famfamfam_silk_icons_v013.zip

Even the flags icon set could be useful:
http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/flags/famfamfam_flag_icons.zip

Are we OK if we start using this into OFBiz?

For instance

(actually look for "Creative Commons" icons in Google)

Sorry Bruno but they are GPL licensed hence not ASL compatible

 The icons I finally used in OFBIZ-1999 (A Portal/Portlet

implementation)

where taken from
http://www.lullabot.com/articles/free_gpl_icons_lullacons_pack_1

I hope they are OK to be distributed with OFBiz.

Bruno,

I had the same problem when searching icons for OFBIZ-1912. Then I
gave
up. It is not easy(at least for me) to find icons which are noted
as
compatible with Apache license.

Does anyone know any image/icon library which can be used in OFBiz
w/o
license issues?

Bilgin
