Steps to reproduce:
1) From catalog page, select a product and then the inventory tab. E.g.
https://demo.ofbiz.org/catalog/control/EditProductInventoryItems?productId=WG-9943-B3
2) Click "Create New Inventory Item for this Product"
3) Enter details including "inventoryItemId".
4) Click Create.
The user entered inventoryItemId is overwritten with a system generated one.
