Thank you for continuing to participate in the discussion. I think all of your
questions have already been answered in my previous comments.
Regardless of what the java-type attribute meant originally, it is not being
used that way today - the proposed changes won't change that. The additional
attribute is optional - if you don't understand it then just leave it out.
I still need this patch tested against other databases.
