It's not straight forward. This thread implies merging ant and startofbiz.sh shell scripts(and the batch files too). However, there are several things that startofbiz.sh supports, and several that build.xml(called by ant) supports, and how would the shell script know which is which? I've spent the last 5 minutes looking and thinking about this, and it's not just a simple file rename.
