clarification I am not saying support compatibility as I am saying provide a
migration path.
It does not make user comfortable to know they investment will cost them
considerable to upgrade. It should be the responsibility of the designers to
make sure the users upgrade is a painless as possible.
that is why people don't move from one application to another.
