Direct Sales Invoice to reduce QOH

Based on the functionality I found other ERP. They allow to reduce QOH when
direct sales invoicing is performed. Reason to have this feature( I am not sure
whether there already is such feature but I am not aware of).
I am facing a CR that is from a retail customer to have such feature so that
they could perform direct invoicing without going through the SO process.
However with direct invoicing it seems it does not directly reduce stock. Or
probably you guys have met with such scenarios and could enlighten me abit.
