Jeremy, your patch is in trunk at revision: 1460116.
I did not backport because it's not quite clear to me if it's a bug OOTB, or
only if you tried to use productId in this context when adding features. Please
give steps to reproduce if it's an OOTB bug, else please close, thanks!
