I found another eeca in the specialpurpose directory that resolve the problem
when removed:
<eca entity="Product" operation="create-store-remove" event="return">
<action service="indexProduct" mode="sync"/>
</eca>
The indexProduct service seems to be causing the product not to be stored in
cache when created. It seems that the service uses Lucene for indexing
products.
