I extended productdetail.ftl to display all bomItems with feature selection,
price, and ship group quantity fields for assembled products when the store
"allowBomPricing" option is set. Now I'm trying to determine how
"allowBomPricing" should control the entry form. Since there will still be a
need to price assembled items as a whole, price fields will not appear for BOM
items when allowBomPricing=N but it seems that feature selection fields would
still need to be displayed for virtual BOM items so that variants may be chosen.
Does anyone have a reason why the current functionality in which virtual BOM
item variants are never selected when an assembled item is added to a cart
should still be supported by this patch?
