How much effort would it take for someone (without your in dept knowledge, or
even like you) to build such a set of functionalities? And would such a feature
set include configuration screens so that the average end user can
differentiate between multiple period configuration schemes for more than one
internal organisation?
I don't think that the balance (regarding effort required) would swing in favor
of such a solution when the average user can update such a dataset in under 5
minutes.
