If you are going to use Eclipse, I recommend the STS from the Spring guys.
It is Eclipse already loaded with all the plug-ins that you need for
Java.(maven, SVN, Git, Mylyn, etc.)
Saves a lot of time chasing and debugging compatible plug-ins and when
you want to update, you just download and install and go back to work.
Made Eclipse fun again.
