Summary: Allow to define the order of applications and menu entries

Currently the order the applications show on screen is harcoded. It would be
good if we could define the positions of the applications, the default would be
alphabetically sorted.
Same possibility for the menu entries (maybe in some themes?). This point could
be a sub-task of this issue....
