We implemented a solution for an in house project called DirectControlServlet.
Honestly it is pretty ugly but it did allow us to more comfortably map
Backbonejs models to sets of services. We have a separate config file the maps
the combination of a URL and an HTTP method to a given service. You can find it
at http://gitlab.brainfood.com/brainfood/ofbiz-directcontrolservlet.
