Hi All, A while ago someone suggested that we (Olingo devs) use signed commits [1]. Personally I think it is a really good idea but (afaik)there is no way to make it mandatory.
Hence, I recommended that use of signed commits is added as a note or requirement to the contribution guide for Olingo. And then it must be manually followed and checked by all contributors. I offered the reporter that I start the discussion in our dev mailing list (just happened)and if there are no objections by the other contributors/maintainers we could update our contribution guide. WDYT about this? Any objections? If not (lazy consensus) I would update our contribution guide and hope that everyone take care and uses signed commits [3][4]. Btw. What I have just wrote was also my reply to the reporter (see my comment [2]) Kind Regards, Michael [1]: https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/OLINGO/issues/OLINGO-1531 [2]: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OLINGO-1531?focusedCommentId=17363380&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel#comment-17363380 [3]: https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-Tools-Signing-Your-Work [4]: https://docs.github.com/en/github/authenticating-to-github/managing-commit-signature-verification/signing-commits
