Hello, I came across olingo as i was browsing through the incubator projects to pick one so that I can contribute to it. olingo seemed to be like a fresh start but I couldn't quite get the problem domain for olingo by going through the website! I could understand that it's an implementation of OData specification (but the specification is very verbose for beginners).
Can anyone point me to some content which explains the need for OData and what problems does it solve which is not possible using other technologies/protocols like REST. Also I couldn't get the git repo url to clone. would be good if someone helps me setup the codebase. Thanks, John
