Maybe  [~stack] would know [~lhofhansl]. My educated guess is autoflush was 
left out of Table by a deliberate choice. All the details of the new interfaces 
in 1.0 were considered during the run up to 1.0. We can add new methods to 
interfaces in minors so if you'd like to see this added to the interface, it 
can still be done in time for 1.5.0, and 2.3.0, and 3.0.0 if done in the next 
day or two. (I'm trying to get out the next 1.5 RC, but am also holding it for 
HBASE-22114.)
