It makes sense. Sandbox is also a place to try out things and test if
there is a user base or not (Mikhails mail in mind).
There is definitely no harm done when you put it into the sandbox. The
worst thing which might happen is that nobody cares about it.

Please go for it, share your ideas. Maybe it grows, maybe not.
