Chris A. Mattmann commented on OODT-1010: ----------------------------------------- hi [~Gimo] to ensure back compat and semantic release versioning, user facing APIs shouldn't change in a minor series update e.g., we shouldn't go from 1.x to 1.x+1 or 1.x.y and change those REST API signatures without remaining both wire and API and component architecture level compatible. Does that make sense? > Make JAX-RS endpoints more RESTful > ----------------------------------- > > Key: OODT-1010 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OODT-1010 > Project: OODT > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: file manager > Reporter: Gimo > Assignee: Imesha Sudasingha > Priority: Major > Labels: features, usability > > This ticket is for enhancing the RESTfulness of the current JAX-RS endpoints. > Some of the missing features from existing APIs are, > * Use Error Payloads for exception handling > * API versioning > * Provide facilities like filtering/paging for collections etc. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
