@Alejandro wrt. Hadoop 1 -- I don't quite know what the right answer there is. 
Hadoop 2 is still considered alpha and as such it is petty much guaranteed that 
if folks run it they are running the latest version. With Hadoop 1 -- I simply 
don't know.
