Can you clarify what this test is verifying? It currently gets a
ClassNotFoundException, which is ignored, and the test passes; there's also a
comment: "Change this when security related classes are available from hbase
maven repo" in the test. As it is, I tried it against an HBase where they were
available, and the test fails with exceptions about "dummyHost" being Unknown
and being unable to connect to Zookeeper; so it looks like once those classes
are available, there's still more work to be done on this test. Shouldn't we
comment out or disable the test until the necessary classes are available
instead of making the test pass artificially?
