There are cases where specifying an empty string for a parameter value in an
Oozie job properties file would be very useful (e.g. the line
“parametername=”). However, when this is done Oozie ignores the parameter
completely and then any references to it in the job throws the error:
javax.servlet.jsp.el.ELException: variable [parametername] cannot be resolved
