Oozie currently uses log4j 1.2.16 and log4j-extras 1.1. These were released
way back in 2010. We should update to the newest releases 1.2.17 (though
they're also pretty old at 2012 and 2013 respectively), which fix some bugs.
The changelogs are pretty minimal:

Looks like log4j-extras changed their versioning scheme to match log4j's
because 1.2.17 is the next release after 1.1.
