Robert Kanter commented on OOZIE-2315:
--------------------------------------
I investigated this some more. Looks like this is more fallout from
HADOOP-10078 and related. The test passes in Hadoop 2.2.0, but fails in
Hadoops 2.3.0 through 2.6.0, and succeeds again in Hadoop 2.7.0+ because
HADOOP-11467 fixes the issue.
The issue is that, to simplify things for the user, {{AuthOozieClient}}
defaults to the {{KerberosAuthenticator}}, and then automatically falls back to
the {{PsuedoAuthenticator}} if there is no Kerberos. However, after
HADOOP-11078 the {{KerberosAuthenticator}} was able to connect to a non-secure
cluster (without a delegation token), so it does that in the test. This test
cares about the user because Oozie Security is enabled, so it fails because the
user is not defined. HADOOP-11467 fixes this by properly forcing the
{{KerberosAuthenticator}} to fallback to the {{PsuedoAuthenticator}}, which is
what we want to happen in this test (you get a delegation token, so the user
can be checked).
