Have not gone into the internal details much. But in general, I would prefer
the java API's for the regular usage. They take care of most of the work and
coding will be less. Making multiple http calls can turn out to be complex and
security also will have to be handled. REST can be an alternative option for
those who have version incompatibility issues. May be a SparkRESTMain.java
which will handle standalone and mesos deployment modes.
