3.0-beta-1 examples version 1.0-SNAPSHOT?

Just noticed that the examples in the 3.0-beta-1 are version 1.0- 
SNAPSHOT.  Do we want to make these 3.0-beta-1 also and if so should  
I change trunk examples to version 3.0.0-SNAPSHOT to match the rest  
of trunk?
