I've said this before and reposting again just so everyone gets the memo. I'm happy to chat with people on the phone now and then to try and spread the knowledge around.

Some really good scenarios:

If you're looking to work on a piece of code and want a jumpstart. I can probably save you days worth of study. Then you can spend some of that saved time and help javadoc the code for the next guy! :)

If you want to help out on the user list I can help you do that. Next time you see a request you'd like to handle, I can get you started and keep you going. The nice benefit there is that there'll be a number of people who get the info; you, the user you helped, and then everyone else who reads your responses.

If you want to write a doc or create an example, great. I'm happy to tell you what you want to know and you can share that information in the doc or example. Again everyone wins.

Bottom line: requesting information and sharing it with others is a great contribution and one that will empower you and others at the same time.

So the offer is out there :)
