Looks like this changed broke SessionSynchronization. There was one bug that prevented the callbacks from getting called at all (actually they would get called if you marked your bean as bean-managed tx). Clearing that up there was another bug that prevented it from getting called more than once on a bean instance (should be once per transaction) due to some bad state on the Instance that was never reset. I've got it partially working again but the TCK still is not happy. Still hammering on it.

I hear that writing SessionSynchronization itests is a great way to exercise guilt :)
