We use xbean-reflect and xbean-finder for all our annotation scanning and dependency injection. It supports constructor injection, instance and static factory methods with multiple args, pojo object creation, etc. Much of that we already offer to EJBs. If 299 becomes a requirement we'll likely continue going down that path.

That said, I don't see why we wouldn't support an integration with OpenWebBeans that's optional for people who want to use OpenWebBeans, similar to how we support a Spring integration as an option for Spring users.
