Forwarded ---- Come along to the first Apache Retreat, in Knockree, Ireland, from 9th to 12th April 2010!
If you're not yet registered, visit http://apache.eventbrite.com/ to sign up. If financial concerns are putting you off, assistance is available. Visit http://www.apache.org/travel/index.html for more information and to apply - the deadline has been EXTENDED, to February 8th 2010! If you're not sure Wicklow's your kind of place, or you feel too old for hostelling, just have a look at the location and some of the facilities: http://people.apache.org/~noirin/knockree/ The Retreat is a chance to get away from the usual hustle and bustle, and to collaborate and connect with other ASF committers. There'll be a BarCamp on-site, including local participation, and you'll have plenty of great opportunities to hack, bounce ideas, and talk. Don't forget that there's a lot you can get done, even in a short time, when you meet face-to-face with a critical mass of other contributors. At a recent Bay Area hackathon for just two projects, the Traffic Server podling finalized the issues that were blocking their first ASF release, got a working version running on OS X, and cross-signed GPG keys. HTTPD project members pushed their latest release out to the mirrors, and worked on community-building, including electing some new committers & PMC members! Hope to see you in April :-) Your Apache Retreat planning team -- View this message in context: http://n4.nabble.com/Apache-Retreat-tp1459905p1460799.html Sent from the OpenEJB Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
