In efforts to both document and automate our release process, I spent the 
weekend hacking on some tooling.

Another instance of hoping to save time by spending it :)

Still not one big step that does everything, but definitely leaps and bounds 
better than before.

While hacking on the release I wouldn't let myself type any commands and 
instead coded it up in java and made the program do it.  Not everything is 
covered yet, as I started in sort of the middle of this release process, but 
after a few release iterations I suspect we'll have it nailed down.
