I've seen some similar disinformation from the media on our announcement. To name a few (paraphrasing and translating): - Apache TomEE includes over 150 projects, including OpenEJB, OpenWebBeans, MyFaces .... The announcement clearly said that Apache the software foundation has 150 projects. All Apache announcements say that. It's boiler plate text. - Apache TomEE is 100 to 300 percent faster than Tomcat The release clearly said " over previous releases" and listed beta2 explicitly in the stats. - Apache TomEE has been adopted by 70% of the market. The release clearly said Tomcat was the most popular platform, used by 70% of the market. There's pretty much no stopping people from getting any of the details they read wrong. No matter what is written someone is going to read it too quickly and write it too quickly and push it out to the world. I've seen some very good writeups by people who clearly pay attention. On that note, all ASF announcements go through [email protected]. I only just discovered and subscribed to the list myself on Saturday. -David
