Yes the snapshot is up to date, but yes version shouldn't be
beta-3-SNAPSHOT
May be next release will contain new features and a better EAR support so

guess, 1.1.0-SNAPSHOT is may be better.

Dates look good, but version numbers are off, shouldn't it be beta-4 or
1.0.1-beta1 or something?
