Which junit tests exactly are failing for you?
The
trunk/openjpa-persistence-jdbc/src/test/java/org/apache/openjpa/persistence/query/TestQueryTimeout.java
is using integer timeout for its tests and not anything to do with the system
time as far as I remember...
