The test
org.apache.openjpa.persistence.lockmgr.TestNamedQueryLockMode.testNamedQueryWithLockModeMustExecuteInTransaction()
exhibits the behavior that I'm reporting. The test currently has an
@AllowFailure annotation that needs to be removed when the run time is fixed.
